For this happy client based in Burnham-on-crouch, we installed metal railings with fleur-de-lis railheads and a matching pedestrian gate.
Bespoke to the clients’ design wants, we designed, fabricated and installed metal railings with fleur-de-lis style railheads. Additionally, for this client, we installed a matching metal gate with railheads.
The metal was finished in a zinc-rich powder coat in a black gloss. We apply a zinc-rich powder coat to prevent the metal from rusting; this increases the railings’ durability and longevity.
Fleur-de-lis railheads are great for classical-style metal gates and railings. The Fleur-de-lis shape has great cultural symbolism and history. Most commonly, the fleur-de-lis is associated with royalty; as seen on the royal coat of arms, it is also the symbol for the scouts. The name fleur-de-lis directly translates to Lily flower, where the iconic three-petaled shapes come from.
